The hundred years of war between humans and mystical creatures have ended, all thanks to a human king who stood forth and made amends with the ruler of the mystical creatures - a dragon
The king, Hamato Yoshi, and his queen, Tang Shen, had finally settled in their kingdom and had four children. One night, the children were kidnapped, stolen by an evil entity of an unknown species. He was warned of a prophecy of these children being the ending of his world domination plans and his life, so to prevent it, he separated them. Though as he did, he placed an enchantment on each of them, turning them into the species he left them to.
Now, the four have grown, and fate seemed to have brought them back together, all to meet the only wizard in existence. They travel together to face dangers, troubles, new possible allies, and truths of their past and secrets to unlock for their own gain. How will destiny treat these four brothers that have no recollection of each other as they travel together? Will they finally find the truths they've been searching for all their lives?

Summary
Purple represented his perseverance.
In the year that had past after the Kraang's defeat, Donatello is plagued with incessant nightmares and thoughts of the Kraang, of their potential return and of the potential havoc they could wreak upon Earth. He finds himself at a personal impasse with his work, unable to create or invent anything for reasons unclear to him. These all amount to a premonition, clear as day, of the inevitable return of the Kraang.
With no one to stop him in his pursuit, Donnie puts it upon himself to watch his family's back and to prevent any damage the kraang could do.
If these efforts happen to encompass knowledge beyond his comprehension, knowledge he starves for, who is he to refuse it?
It begs the question: when does perseverance become obsession?
