Big meetings meant for as many sellers as possible. Kinda like a scouting mission. It wouldn't be often but it happened every once and a while. Maybe we ran into each other at a park or a-.. or something."
"A bar?"
Ragatha shook her head. "I'm not sure the time would fit. I've been here a good while, Pomni."
The jester gave a small hum in acknowledgment and acceptance. And then she fell back on the stage with a sigh. She said, "Imagine that, you and me at a bar with our social skills."

Summary
The mission was simple enough - there was no reason it shouldn't be.
It starts like this; sign up on the contract, escort the mage to the depths of a fucked up territory that is near lawless due to it's unstable magic that is worshiped by the thousands and condemned by the millions, extract the shipment, escort the mage back safely, take the money and leave.
She figured the mage was desperate enough to reach out to her in the depths of the city of Leviathan and pay as much as she was offering if she hadn't tried other people before.
"So… where's the shipment we're supposed to pick up,"
"Well…" the mage said, "more like… steal."
Fig smiled wide, teeth overtaking the expression as her interest was now piqued. "Now I'm listening,"

Summary
The oracle sighed, head tilting to the side as she thought about their first day with each other.
The second interaction she would have with all of them was an awkward moment of forced bonding from the guidance counselor. A moment that would be cut short by the screaming in the cafeteria.
Some battling, some tripping on tables and several corn creatures (corn cuties as they would later recall them as), a struggle to climb up the rear and into the anus of a Cream Corn monster by one of them, the violent beating of the Lunch Lady, two student deaths that are later then revivified by the murder-suicide in front of all of them by Principal Arthur Augefort and guidance counselor Mr. Gibbons.
Since then, Adaine Abernant had been put and practically assigned into the de-fact-o party that is now referred to as "The Bad Kids." She got a new family out of the chaos (trauma-bonded), and a new place to stay.
