Summary
Michael "Mike" Adler grew up in Echo, though he never really had a fondness for the town since it seemed to suck the life out of everyone and tragedy seemed to occur for as long as it existed, tragedy he knows far too well after the death of a close childhood friend but Chase and the others were his lifelines in such a place full of darkness.
Still, things change and so do people as he got older, and not for the better as life taught him that not everything is sunshine and rainbows, but if there's one thing he does know, it's that Echo is a place full of secrets lurking around the next corner, secrets that are desperate to stay hidden.
When an event forces Mike and the others to confront their fears and traumas that turn tangible and dangerous, they must find the strength to face them in a town that is not keen on letting the past go.

Summary
"What if I'm a dream other people are having?"
Chase returns to Echo with one more friend than usual, and reunites with one more friend in Echo than should be possible. It's as if Sydney never died at all and grew up with the rest of the group in Echo. Yet Chase remembers differently. On top of this, Leo seems to have gotten over the otter and moved on to a new boyfriend as well, one who seems overly eager to keep things peaceful between the group.
Slowly he begins to unravel a new secret the town is keeping, and he's going to need Sydney's help to figure it out, complicated feelings or no.
