Jayce keeps the smile plastered on his face as his hand comes down on a button.
A jolt of pleasure hits Viktor deep in his core, sudden like a flood as he chokes on his words, nervous system lighting up, sweeping outwards from the center to his back and legs, toes — not paws — curling from the force.
"Good," Jayce says, eyes flickering to the monitor where it'd emitted a slew of frantic beeps.
Viktor nearly dies from an augmentation gone awry.
He wakes up and finds Jayce, who fixes his botched repairs and a little more beyond that.

Summary
What Jayce first ascribed to suppressants (and sheer willpower) was actually the byproduct of a serious medical condition. Viktor hasn't had a heat since he was a teenager. Every year Viktor’s hypothalamus tested the dry well of his fuel reserves and elected to divert any runoff from ovulation to more vital bodily functions (say, breathing).
Worse: It’s common knowledge that heats and ruts are strongest at their outset. Hormones fluctuate over the years; cycles settle; the body calibrates to accommodate the unruly roommate of ovulation. But Viktor’s body doesn’t have the benefit of practice. Somehow—against every natural law—Viktor, about a side glance from death and as far as a decade from his last heat, is about to nosedive into an induction furnace.

When the temporary energy boost from his first Shimmer experiment triggers a heat, Viktor resolves to suffer the consequences alone. Needless to say, things don't go as planned.

Zaun’s Machine Herald scoffs the first time he reads it, tossing the stained and torn paper that his apprentice brought down the conveyor behind his shoulder. He is rewiring his left arm again, trying to iron out why his sensors detect a microsecond’s delay between the synapses firing in his brain and the acknowledgement by his mechanical nerves.
“Natural causes,” he scoffs. “He is what? Sixty years old? Men that rich do not die that young.”

Jayce is silent for a long moment. Then:
“Yeah,” he says. “I can do that.”
Viktor resigns himself to recover from spinal fusion surgery alone. He fails to account for Jayce's fervent desire to serve him.

Jayce looks at Viktor, taking in the indecisiveness on his face, the tightness in his shoulders, the haunted look in his eyes that never quite goes away anymore. And something inside him clicks into place.
It's not that Viktor doesn’t want him.
It’s that Viktor doesn’t trust himself to want.
"Is that what you need, Viktor?" Jayce asks, eyes softening. "For someone to take the choice away from you? Because I can do that for you, if you'll let me. I can take control from here on out and you'll never to worry about anything else. Would you like that?"
Viktor's eyes are wide, lips parted from where his mouth has fallen open slightly, and for a moment, he seems speechless, but then he nods, a small, barely perceptible shake of his head that reveals more than enough of his longing. "Please."
After waking up in an unfamiliar timeline, Jayce and Viktor find it all too easy to fall into bed together instead of talking about their feelings. This, naturally, leads to consequences neither are prepared for.
Like unwittingly falling into a dom/sub dynamic, for example.

Or: Jayce's love language is physical touch. At first, Viktor has to train himself to accept what Jayce offers, but soon they become equally addicted to each other.

As is, the mask muffles his voice enough that a transmitter is needed so that it can be broadcasted to the other side of the metal. And he’s turned it off, because he’s too proud to let Jayce hear the noises he makes when he eats him out. Not that Jayce needs to hear him: his body does the talking for him anyway.

Summary
Half a decade after Viktor leaves Piltover for good, a fragment of Hexcore permanently adhered to his soul, an old friend comes to him for help. This wouldn't be an issue, if the same old friend hadn't spent the last five years trying to hit him, very hard, with a really big hammer.
“You’re not real,” Viktor repeated, closing his eyes. Even with the knowledge that this was a dream, the gentle touch unraveled him. There was an impact crater where his heart should be.
The calloused pad of Jayce's thumb found the corner of Viktor’s mouth. “All right. I’ll bite – what’s your evidence for this hypothesis?”
Viktor smiled into the touch, felt it tug against Jayce's thumbprint. “Isn’t it obvious? You haven’t tried to kill me yet.” -

Summary
Viktor turns back to the window. The tree outside sways slightly in the wind. “I was just thinking about spring,” he says in lieu of moving like Jayce wants him to. He feels Jayce lean his weight against the sill.
“What about spring?”
Viktor gestures vaguely to his stomach, where the buttons of his shirt are starting to strain from the swell. “She’ll be born in spring, I suppose. If the midwife is right.”
He feels Jayce still, just the slightest bit. “She?”
“Ah…” Viktor hesitates, then shrugs. “No, I’m not sure yet. Just… feeling things out. I would love them either way.”
Jayce’s hands find his, warm fingers curling over Viktor’s knuckles. “So would I,” he says, voice soft and reverent. “I can’t wait for spring to come.”
A knot loosens in Viktor, and he exhales, something settling in his chest. He understands what Jayce means. I can’t wait to meet her.
