Dick knew he was falling. He had his feet firmly planted on the ground of a rooftop of a skyscraper that overlooked the docks. He was on the ledge, standing tall, feeling the sea wind cut his cheeks. He could smell the salt and the fish and the sewage. He could hear the noises from the city he had sworn to protect even from this high above. His feet were firmly planted on a rooftop but Dick was falling. He was falling and falling but there was no ground to hit and his wings wouldn’t work. Dick was all alone.
Until he wasn't.
OR
When Dick is alone, he struggles to forget his insecurities, leading to an emotional meltdown. And then Slade Wilson shows up.

Summary
It's two weeks before Christmas; snow is finally beginning to fall, people are visiting stores to buy their holiday gifts, and the Riddler has taken over Gotham City's Shopping Mall and made it his fortress. The only thing protecting the hundreds upon hundreds of hostages from the villain's automated guns is the wits of young Robin, the Boy Wonder.
All the while Damian Wayne is stuck outside, unable to protect his baby brother.
OR
When the Riddler holds civilians hostage in a shopping mall, it is up to Robin to ensure their safety. Meanwhile, Batman is doing everything in his power to come to his brave baby brother's rescue.

Dick is still wrapped in the blanket, clutching it close to his skin, and he looks away, pinning the ground with his gaze, until he finally meets Bruce’s eyes like he’s facing his biggest fear. He speaks hoarsely. “Where are my parents?”
“They’re —” Bruce falters. “They’re dead.”
He doesn’t react. “Was it the Court?” His voice shakes.
While fighting the Court of Owls, Bruce encounters a newly indoctrinated Talon and acquires his first child.
