Summary
Furina lay on the grand, luxurious bed, within his room at the Palais Mermonia, on her side. She faced away from the ensuite bathroom. She had somehow finished with her nightly routine first, which rarely happened; normally, Neuvillette was the one waiting for her. She chalked it up to simple excitement, embarrassing as that was to admit. After all, it had been a few weeks since they had both been able to make the time to dedicate to one another...to their ‘intimacy’. So...sue her for being in a rush! Consequently, it seemed as if Neuvillette was taking his time (she was definitely just imagining things, okay), and though Furina liked to think she possessed a decent amount of patience, the wait was enough to make anyone feel like they were on the verge of going mad.
But this was also why she couldn’t bear to face the bathroom door: As soon as Neuvillette exited, he would have the perfect vantage point with which to see just how crimson her cheeks had gotten—see just how quick her breathing came—see just how pleadingly she gazed at him.
