They were sitting on one of the sofas, close enough to touch but with enough space between them for Kaveh to ensure his own victory. Three hours and Alhaitham had begun to crave skin to skin contact, the soft press of their lips. Three hours and Alhaitham had moved without much thought, had sought out Kaveh and his lips in a kiss that was far too quick. He broke with a start, realizing too late what he had done, and took note of the victory blazing in Kaveh's eyes.
Kaveh smirked smugly and crossed his arms over his chest, tilting his head up in a show of ego. "I win."
And Alhaitham lost.
