This is inspired by SugaKane_01's work Trompe L'oeil, which I found very affecting and quite traumatic to read.
It starts after that story stopped, when Stiles has been lured back to Beacon Hills, the place where he was stalked by Matt Daehler who framed him as cheating on Derek. A jealous and bitter Derek then lured Stiles back, kidnapped and threatened him.Series

“That’s not what most people say about my ‘vibe’.” Stiles hooks his fingers in the air for emphasis. “In fact what most people say about it isn’t fit for polite company.” He finishes primly.
“Most people are jerks and my spirit animal’s been most insistent that we meet. She says you can see her…she says you’re her Lord.” A flush of pink stains her high cheekbones as she says it. At that statement, Stiles’ mouth drops open not sure what surprises him out of those sentences the most.

This is what he gets for befriending a group of “baby” werewolves right after they all got turned. All he had been trying to do was to prevent them from walking right into a hunter’s trap while they were running wild through the preserve. Now it’s nearly ten years later and Stiles can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a werewolf in Beacon Hills –– and since they all think that he is the best thing since sliced Beatles, they never want to go too far from him. He even tried to integrate them with Satomi Ito’s amazing pack, just one town over, but the Beacon Hills wolves wouldn’t budge.

Summary
the main story is the three part slow burn steter fic - trust, promise, love - and it is completed.
the rest of the parts in the series are just extra fics about the things they all get up to after the main story is completed. there is no set number of extra parts but as of 7/2021 there are at least 3 more on the way.
as of 10/2021 the main 3 part series has been completed and 2 additional parts are done. there is one more for sure already being worked on.
as of 1/2022 the series is complete. there may be one additional fic posted that is just a collection of scenes that never made it into the rest of the fic. but other than that we are finished. i started writing this in January 2021 and a year later i have finished what I originally set out to write.
final update: 2/28/2022 - the last part of this thing is up, the final bits and pieces that i never found places for in the other parts of the series. i have no intentions of coming back to this au but it has been amazing.

Summary
Peter Hale only planned to be in Beacon Hills for a couple hours. Just like the last few visits he'd sneak in some "pack" time to avoid becoming omega by inhaling the familiar scents in Derek's loft, and then he'd quickly climb back out of the hellmouth the Hale pack had once called home.
It was the perfect treatment. No muss. No fuss. And doing it under the McCall alpha's nose without the failwolf even noticing was just a happy bonus.
Of course, Peter should have known that nothing in Beacon Hills was ever that easy…
