It's been years since Herman felt this way, admittedly. It was embarrassing. And for the "Sentient Construct" no less. After a few months of working with him, they've even begun hanging out after work!
To Herman at least, he thinks it's going really well, and messing this up could be the worst thing that could happen to him. So, in a desperate attempt to possibly ask him out, he decides to hang back and play it cool.
In simple terms, Herman tries to hide his crush on Bruno, but it's unfortunately very obvious to everybody but Bruno.

Herman always had a... complicated relationship with his powers, far more than the average super. So when he was offered a special drug by one of Sonar's old buddies, something that could help him control his powers? Why would he pass up the chance for something he'd dreamed of for years?
(This fic is waterboy-centered and revolves around themes of addiction and mental illness, i am aiming for a happy ending but will i get there? only time will tell XD)
