Really good, lovely sense of tension. Astarion is complex and not generically evil even though it veers towards that at times. Gale being kind of malevolent is great. Exceptional, because I oppose ascendant Astarion is evil slander--but this adaptation is actually complex. Like, ok, fine I'll bite.

It is through this that she meets one Mycroft Holmes, who has a ‘minor role in the British Government’, of which Ophelia thinks is bullshit. The thing is, Ophelia kind of gets the impression that beyond the icy exterior, he is only slightly possessive, rude and terrifying.
Also, she has a sneaking suspicion that she should not find him as amusing as she does. People are starting to think she’s mad.
A trail of murders from the last two years lead, eventually, to Ophelia, and thank God for the fact she cleans Mister British Government's house, otherwise she would be so screwed.

Shockingly good voice. Excellent work with that---makes the OC feel like a real person and not just a hollow shell. Impressed so far. Ophelia is such a fun name for our main lead; the model for Millais' Ophelia was an artist too. I'm so intrigued to see where this story brings us. The scene where Anthea bribes/kidnaps her for Mycroft's house code is delicious.
Her friend was cute, and tragic. Understated yet realistic conclusion for the end of his character arc. Eventually Mycroft gifts her a house + space in an art Gallery.
