“In my opinion, it’s worth it. We don’t want to make it a competition; just an excuse to gather all the tribes. And you are just a really good rider.” Chasca shrugged.
“I can attest to that!” A man whom Ororon was unfamiliar with chimed in. He was smiling… no grinning from ear to ear. “He is indeed a very… VERY good rider.”
Suddenly, the mood shifted. Ororon looked at Ifa. He was blushing.
“Is that so?” Chasca said smugly. “Oh, tell me more about it.”
“Enough, man, enough!” Ifa whined.

Odysseus defeated Poseidon right before reaching home, but seeing him broken and bloody, the mortal cannot make himself simply leave the god. It felt too much like the battlefield at Troy. Hoping for a sliver of humanity still inside of him for when he finally greeted his family again, Odysseus decided to tend to Poseidon before leaving. He never expected a second encounter with the God of the Sea.

“Wait, wait!” Poseidon’s voice cracked as he screamed, his body writhing before Odysseus could even lift the trident. The realization on the god’s face was intoxicating.
Odysseus nearly laughed.
“You never waited,” he said, stepping closer, his voice steady despite the storm still lingering in his veins. “You never listened. You never spared a single one of them.”
Poseidon’s fingers dug into the rock beneath him, his breath shallow, eyes darting wildly. He was searching for an escape, for some last shred of power to pull himself from this. But there was none. Odysseus had made sure of that.
“You can’t kill me,” Poseidon rasped again, though the arrogance from before had cracked, laced now with something else. Not fear— gods did not fear. But something close enough to make Odysseus grin.
He crouched, lowering himself until he was at Poseidon’s level, close enough that the god could see the fire burning behind his eyes.
“I don’t have to.” With that, he dropped the trident.

Odysseus has had enough— if the world insists on casting him as the monster, then he’ll become one in full.

Antinous lived through the night Odysseus returned on a fluke; he should have been at the palace, all things considered, but he had been kept home . . .
. . . Caring for his sick daughter and her concerned twin brother.
When Amphinomus is held on trial as the only other surviving Suitor, Antinous has to intervene to save his last living friend's life. In doing so, he must confront old wounds between himself and the Prince, the existence his children is revealed to the Crown, and the longer he stays at the palace, the more the question of the parentage grows.
Meanwhile, Poseidon is dealing with a crisis on Olympus following an incident with (surprise surprise) Zeus, and the results of that fight leave him wounded on a much-too-familiar shore and bring him face-to-face with a certain annoying King and veteran of the Trojan war.
It seems Ithaca is still held in the Eyes of the Gods.
