Noctis tells Prompto that he wants to run a half-marathon. While Prompto is a bit taken aback by this (Noctis running? Really?), he's not going to turn down the opportunity to spend more time with his friend - for whom he may or may not have feelings.
Ignis needs to find a new gym after his old one closes down. What he didn't expect was to have a handsome, flirtatious personal trainer make it his personal mission to put some muscle on him.
Modern AU revolving around running and fitness, where Gladio is a personal trainer and Prompto a semi-professional runner.

Their personality was so lacklustre and dull. He needed a breath of fresh air, someone he could have a worthwhile conversation with while lying side by side. So, retiring his long time retainers, he sends Ignis to find a new retainer for him. And Ignis comes through when he brings a pole dancer and escort home: a young man by the name of Prompto Argentum.
Over time, their relationship begins to transcend that of King and retainer, to a place where it was never supposed to be. To love.

He’s like business royalty, the exact opposite of Prompto. He’s not exactly jealous, though, even if that means that this dark-haired boy is beyond rich. Prompto is free to do pretty much whatever he wants, barring it costs any money, and it seems like Noctis is stuck in a life he doesn’t want to be in. Everything comes at a cost, though. He thinks maybe he wouldn’t mind being a little trapped if it meant being surrounded by people like this, people who love him.
