Surrendering to the Avengers had been part of his elaborate plan.
The plan to thwart the mad Titan and bring two infinity stones to the Allfather.
But as they are stopped by the man called Pierce, Loki finds his situation is far more dire than he could have imagined.

From warning him of the upcoming threat.

To plead for mercy.In the hands of Hydra, disguised as SHIELD, they are determined to learn all the secrets his body could offer.
Beyond that, they were set on making sure he was punished for his crimes.
The collar gifted by Thor ensured his cooperation.
In the darkness of his life, he learns to appreciate the comfort of the others imprisoned with him.
The little mage with red hair believes the Avengers she had befriended before being recaptured would save them.
Except, Loki was not at all convinced being taken by the very group of warriors he had goaded into assembling would bode well for him.Series

Summary
Thor's coronation is halted by the intrusion of the frost giants. After Thor argues and storms out of the vault, Loki realizes something isn't right. The seidr residue from whence the giants came, was...Odin's.
When Odin finds Loki discovering his actions, Loki is threatened to be accused and punished for what Odin had done if he tries to tell anyone. Odin instructs Loki to antagonize Thor into raiding Jotunheim, but not to worry, because he will instruct Heimdall to stop Thor. Only Heimdall doesn't, and lets them through.
Thor's diplomacy is nonexistent, and of course, starts a war with the Jotunn. But why is the ice king glaring at him? Why are the frost giants targeting him as if to capture?
When Odin saves them and they return to Asgard, Thor is berated for his foolishness. But it is Loki who he turns his wrath onto in the end, banishing the second prince to Midgard until he can prove his worth.
Jane follows the anomaly readings and finds the prince. With her SUV of course.
Loki finds his place among the mortals and influences the events of the MCU timeline to alter with his involvement.
Until his past starts to catch up with him.
