It is a very serious and self-sacrificing endeavour (never mind the confusion of everyone else including said husband).

However, no one is unchanged by war, and there are some things you can't come back from. Draco was told to let Harry go, to leave his love behind and move on. He is told that Harry has changed. Draco doesn't care how different Harry has become. A promise is a promise.
