Summary
A boy who broke his heart to save his friends.
A girl who died at the hands of her best friend to save a hero. Perfectly selfless. Heroic.
But what about the other side? The boy who was shattered and the boy who killed his own friend. They didn’t ask for this, didn’t ask to be trapped inside a clueless hero.
So why not refuse? Aren’t you tired of being selfless, a Hero?

“Put. Him. Down.” A voice spoke from Vanitas’s left this time. It was strange. Weird even. Really fucking weird. Cause he could swear that sounded like Ventus. Not exactly though. It was deeper, darker and...something else. He couldn’t put his finger on it immediately. He dared to look over his left shoulder, the first thing he saw being the white, almost clear keyblade held perfectly still and centimetres away from his face.

The kids blink at him, and then the silver haired one says, in the worst whisper Vash has ever heard, “Nico… I kinda do…”
“He’s lying to us, Livio,” the black haired boy–Nico?–hisses back. “He’s probably gonna go tell Miss Melanie we were smoking.”
“I’m not!” Vash says, waving his hands with a smile he hopes is trustworthy enough for Nico’s standards. “I’ll teach you the trick and then be on my way, how about it?”
Vash meets Nicholas.

He’d grown to trust that feeling as King, and as a Keyblade wielder, because as both, it was an invaluable feeling that’d saved him far too many a times.
“I don’t agree with this. It’s too soon.” He shook his head, hands clenched at his side. “Sora and Riku...They’re strong, but it’s too soon. They’re not…They’re not ready to be Masters.”

Day 15: Emotional Damage -- Lies -- New Scars
There was a new scar on Sora’s chest.
While this wouldn’t be surprising on its own, he got loads of new scars on his body on the daily, from a whole host of things nonetheless, but there was something...different about this one.
He’d noticed it shortly after he and Riku had sealed the Door to Darkness, and even then he wasn’t sure what he was looking at. He just stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom of the inn they were staying at, staring at the pale expanse of tissue as it failed to disappear from his sight.
It was smooth but also bumpy in that way scars were, stretching out across his chest like branches of a tree or lightning, originating from a sole point in the center of his chest. There was a divot at that exact point, dipping into his ribcage like it was going to pierce it.
Like how he’d pierced his own chest with Riku’s Keyblade or well, the Keyblade of People’s Hearts.Series
