After somehow surviving the destruction of the x-blade, Ventus asleep and Master Xehanort basically gone, Vanitas hasn't got a lot to do. So, he follows the connection he has to his old body in the hopes of finding it and being able to get it back for himself.
He spends ten relatively peaceful years that way, no one for company but his own emotions, when there's suddenly people in the castle. And he wants them gone.Or: What if Vanitas was somehow in Chain of Memories and gained a few friends on the way?

In fact he is standing right here next to them, watching them all fret over his prone body. To stave off the boredom whilst a cure is found Arthur takes to wandering the castle and soon discovered a hidden side of Camelot he never knew about.
Or: Arthur's soul gets trapped outside his body and takes to following his servant around. He gets an interesting insight into Merlin, his servant's life and just how much Camelot needs the man.

She threw up a wall of ice to keep the strange boy and he companions away. They would get hurt if they got too close to her. “Just go away! It’s not safe!” She yelled into the wind. It was silent for a minute, just the howling wind and falling snow. Then her ice started to melt, a hand burning it’s way through her supposedly impenetrable barrier.
What Arendelle could of been if they let Sora and Elsa interact. Also how could they think that ice walls would stop Sora?? He knows fire magic??
