Summary
Galo has started his first semester of college as a fine arts major in photography, and he's already feeling a bit of pressure from one of his classes. He's required to submit a portfolio with a succinct theme by the end of the semester, however, he's having trouble finding some inspiration, every snap of his shutter producing something lackluster and dull.
That is until he meets Lio, another fine arts major with a concentration in painting. All it takes is one look, and Galo suddenly finds himself swimming in creativity...and something else that makes his chest hitch and breathing labored.
Or: Galo and Lio become each other’s muses.

"I meant, like, real flames Lio! You know that!" He shot back feeling a little hurt that Lio didn't think he could do it. Of course he could, he was Galo Burning Firefighter Soul Thymos!
Lio shook his head, biting the inside of his cheek.
"It's the same Galo."
"Well, okay, if it is the same then I can save you and I will save you because I'm not going to let you sit there and take the blame for everything like you had anything to do with those bastards on the ship!"

At some point while they were still Burnish, Meis and Gueira took a gamble with their feelings for each other and it didn't quite work out. Rather than talk about it, they both buried it and went on with their lives as best friends, but now that they're no longer on the run and worrying about survival, the question of how they really feel comes back up, and everyone around them seems to have figured it out before they have.

Summary
A look into the pasts of Lio’s most loyal henchmen and friends. From before they turned Burnish to after the events of the movie, the bond between two best friends is like a fire that doesn’t go out easily.
Chapters 1-9 take place before the events of Promare and focus on Gueira and Meis' origin story on how they turned Burnish and how they found their place in Mad Burnish.
Chapters 10-12 are a retelling of Promare through Gueira and Meis' POV.
Chapter 13 and beyond take place after the events of Promare.
