Summary
School has always been a significant roadblock for Peter Parker. Between the many late nights patrolling and the many long afternoons in the lab with Mr. Stark, he finds himself drifting farther away from his priorities. It's been a week since he'd seen his old babysitter. He'd saved him from a shooting at a local bakery. Of course, he didn't know it was him, but fate loves to play games with Peter. Peter Luck. He'd saved the man who wielded such angry thoughts; the man that Peter had to face in court as a child. The man who was supposed to be in prison for at least 10 more years. With an immense amount of weight pushing him down further into a fearful loop of self-isolation, he tries to autopilot through the rest of the day, where he could only hope for his rage to calm down before the meeting Mr.Stark had arranged with the rest of the Avengers.

Peter "accidentally" saves Skip, his old, supposed-to-be-in-jail abuser, a week before the Avengers scheduled a team meeting. Where did he save him? At a local bakery where the man was being held hostage. Peter tries not to snap as rage consumes him.

Peter had almost made it to the door when someone bumps into him carelessly, causing him to stumble right into the chest of another guy; a guy holding a very full drink. Naturally, the drink spills all over his shirt, practically soaking him.
“Oh- oh my god I am so so sorry,” Peter scrambles back a few steps, “Here I’ll- um I’ll go get some towels. Uh- I’ll find where the towels are first… somehow- and then-”
The man just laughs, “No need, it’s really not a big deal. Peter, right? I’ve seen you around Midtown a few times. I’m Luke, it’s nice to finally meet you."
Luke pauses, "How about this, you can make it up to me by letting me grab you a drink. I think you’re a pretty cool guy, and I wouldn’t mind getting to know you a bit better. If you don’t mind, that is.”

Peter knew those eyes too well not to notice almost immediately—

His gaze flicked instinctively to Tony on his left, then to Doom on his right.

Tony suddenly laughed.

Summary
Jason Todd grew up with a fundamental fear of being seen. Not in the sense of shyness, but in the sense of shame. He supposed, if he wished to contemplate the fear’s origins, he might start where most tragedies do:
The house he grew up in.
Where the act of wanting was as good as a death sentence to that desire.
He supposed he might even make an argument for the statement “people become what they are called”. He thinks that might have some merit, looking back.
What he fears most, (like most other people), is how obvious it is to others. The fear itself.
He wonders if they can see it.or
Thanks to a rogue meta, the batfam gets to watch Jason's memories like a movie; and Jason just really wants a family again. But you cannot be loved if you aren't known, and well... if circumstances provide? might as well take the chance, right?

He stood in front of the Wayne manor gates. A duffel bag swung around his shoulder. A grim look in his eyes and dread boiling over in his stomach.
These where the consequences of his action.
He couldn’t bare to impose himself onto his best friend a day longer, it was horrid enough that Roy was the one who had to find Jason in the state he did. Drag him out the tub.
OR
Failed suicide attempt leads to Jason going back to Wayne manor.
