Summary
It’s the darkness inside of Nancy Wheeler that makes her feel most alone. In the months that followed the Battle of Starcourt, all she had wanted was for someone to see her, to see the darkness and to not turn away and run. Nancy never would have expected to find that person in Robin Buckley.

One of them is in college, Josh and Maisie are pretty sure, at Emerson. The other three work an odd variety of hours. Summary
Robin Buckley sees dead people. To her, it’s just one more reason on the long list of reasons why she’s a freak. So far, the only bonus is her best friend, Steve, who died 10 years ago. So, it still kinda sucks.
Until Will Byers’ body is found in the quarry and she realises she can’t find his ghost anywhere. Will Byers is not dead.
Something is afoot in Hawkins.

Summary
“How are you comfortable like that?” Nancy asked, looking through the dark at how Robin layed perfectly still on her back, hands steepled atop her stomach.
After a few moments, Robin answered hesitantly for a second before the words started pouring out, “I’m not, I normally sleep on my side but there isn’t much space-” Nancy grabbed her hand, endlessly endeared, and turned. She pulled Robin’s arm around her waist so that she was spooning her, winding their fingers together where Robin's arm fell naturally at her stomach.
“There.” She murmured softly.
“Right. Thanks. That's perfect- I mean- not perfect just- better,” Robin choked out. Nancy could feel her heart hammering against her back.
She smiled.

Summary
description rewrite:
It was the something that felt similar to how Nancy felt in the form of sweaty palms and bright eyed, teenaged excitement when she started dating Steve those many years ago. It was the something that felt like the adoration she once felt for Jonathan.
And now she felt it with Robin, and it was different. It was softer - it felt right. Robin had somehow created the perfect man for Nancy, and he existed on a piece of paper. She played the part so well that Nancy almost believed she could be him.
aka
Nancy, Robin, and Steve finally agree to play D&D with Eddie. Nancy and Robin’s characters have an in-game romance, and it bleeds into the real world.
