Summary
The problem with being friends with benefits is that inevitably one catches feelings and then it becomes a K-drama game of trying to decipher each other’s feelings first without giving up your own. Haewon doesn’t have this problem, if she and Lily were any more obvious they’d have ‘down bad’ tattooed on their foreheads.
The rest of the group sadly does have issues though.

But Yoona probably does this with every member. Jiwoo's not the only one, she can't be. Besides, there's nothing wrong with a little skinship.
Except when it's the middle of the night, in a hotel room in a city that neither girl can pronounce, and Yoona asks her if they can share a bed.

There's a convenience store a few blocks from Haewon’s bus stop. It's technically in the wrong direction—technically not the closest to her apartment, either, but the closer option requires walking past her apartment and down another block, which feels worse somehow. She'd rather stop on the way home, even if it means walking a block in the wrong direction.
She likes to stop and eat before she gets home. She likes the twenty minutes of peace and quiet somewhere that isn't her dark, empty apartment, somewhere that feels marginally less lonely but devoid of the stresses of her everyday, devoid of the weight of academia and the smoke of the gogijib.
She likes Lily, too.
Or: Oh Haewon falling apart and falling in love.

Shiroiwa Ruki, the Prince of JO1. Undeniably handsome, charming, and stoic. His blonde hair framing his face to perfection, complimenting his soft, supple skin. He supposes he could build more muscle, having favored a leaner look over the years over the bulkier image adorned by Mame, Shion, Sho, and Keigo. Junki seems to like Keigo’s muscles. They likely made him feel warm and safe. He looks away from his reflection, knowing full well it isn’t his appearance that didn’t win Junki’s heart, but the wall he put up between them. One that Keigo never built. He instead embraced the challenge of a secret romance, indulged in the thrill, and welcomed the happiness that being in love brought into his life.
Ruki, on the other hand, chose to live with the pain of being in love with someone who didn’t love him back.

eyebrows furrowing, giant frown, staring daggers at whoever was the victim. and since all this was happening with his fellow group members (who were his best friends), it was almost easier to be even more insane about all this, because a part of him knew that it was truly and genuinely all just jokes (and also his friends gave him a lot of grace with this whole thing).
so why was it still so rage-inducing to see keigo suddenly back-hug shion from behind, or hear keigo begging a giggling ruki to hang out for dinner? (even though junki was the one who was free that night…) it was just shion. it was just ruki.
but then keigo’s eyes meet junki’s, eyes twinkling, and oh, right, that’s why it’s so blood boiling. and when ruki laughs at junki’s pout, he just might have to grab a torch and some oil.
