Summary
Being two sides of the same coin was great until each side held different responsibilities.
AKA, Merlin and Arthur have to separate in order to win a battle. Merlin doesn't return afterwards. Arthur panics. Their reunion is full of love and angst.

Merlin remains still on the bed though Arthur can feel his own heart attempting to tear through his ribcage.
His hands quiver as he solemnly wipes away the feel of Merlin from his lips with his thumb and he blinks away warm tears that pool in his eyes, threatening to spill over the edge and fall to his lap.
