The kid went by ‘Danny Phantom’. The next file was where things got interesting. A corrupted blood sample analysis had been put through the computers, where, along with a whole host of unknown compounds and chemicals, the DNA pinged several alleles, proving a potential familial match. A familial match to him.

But the boy looked to be about the same age as he would have been, after Jason did a quick bit of mental math. But the hair and eyes were all wrong.

“My, does Jaskier know?” Yennefer gasped with faux innocence. “He must have been devastated to discover that. You know he loves you, don’t you?”
“Yen.” Geralt sighed, leaning back into Eskel’s hold. “Please, not now.”
“Poor bard, he must be heartbroken. Finding out he had even less of a chance than he thought.”
“Enough!” Geralt lunged, snarling in her face, bracing himself on the arms of her chair. “Leave my Son out of it!”
“...What?” Yennefer whispered, rather proud of herself for not flinching back like every fiber of her being was demanding her to.
“Stop. Taunting. Jaskier.”
