    This work is abandoned but will stay up. A rewrite is in progress.

    When Harry touches the port key for a second time to flee from the newly resurrected Voldemort, he and Cedric somehow end up getting transported back to the 1940s. It just so happens that they are taken back to the day Tom Riddle planned to open the Chamber of Secrets. But because their arrival causes quite a stir, he is unable to do so.

    Harry believes it is fate and decides that they should try and stop Tom Riddle from becoming Voldemort. Cedric, on the other hand, believes that Harry should get a chance to live a normal life. All while Tom plots. He just can't seem to figure out why he's so drawn toward the boy with a scar on his forehead.
