“My name.” Aether let go of Xiao and returned to his place. “My name is Aether.”
Xiao pondered for a moment. “Aether.”
The name sounded so pretty on Xiao’s tongue. “Yeah.” Aether smiled. “You got it.”
“That sounds much better than ‘Traveler.’”
Aether laughed, and Xiao’s lips twitched upwards into what was almost a smile.
“I think so, too,” Aether chuckled. “Don’t tell anyone, okay?”
aka Xiao is the prince of Liyue, and a certain traveler never fails to make him smile, but an enemy decides to use that to their advantage.

Summary
Being a vampire has never been easy for Xiao, especially after hiding it for most if his life from his best friend.
His best friend, who he couldn’t deny loving any longer. What he didn’t think was, how his body was reacting to it lately. Elevated heart rate…dry throat…all normal signs of crushing on someone, if it wasn’t for the raging fever and bloodlust.
Xiao didn’t know what it meant, and the risks it may cause. He wanted to come clean, but everytime he gets close to Aether, he looses his cool, preferring to stay away.
Maybe the agony will ease him faster than love.

Xiao never expected to find himself in this situation. He had always told Aether to call his name whenever he was in trouble, and he meant it. But this—this was something else entirely.
It was past midnight when he heard it. Aether’s voice, soft yet insistent, calling out for him. Xiao thought the traveler was in danger, so he rushed over without hesitation, only to find him… sound asleep.
At first, he sighed, relieved but confused. Did he really just summon me in his sleep? Xiao considered leaving, chalking it up to some strange dream. But then—Aether whimpered his name.
Xiao froze. His usually stoic expression shattered as a deep, burning heat spread across his face. His ears turned red, his heart hammered against his chest, and for the first time in his life, he felt completely out of his depth.
Should he wake Aether? Should he just leave and pretend this never happened?
One thing was certain—when Aether woke up in the morning, there would be some very awkward questions waiting for him.

Aether for his part, despite hating the idea of being married to the emperor, tries to do everything possible to keep that relationship dead from the beginning as a friendly and cordial union, but things start to go from bad to worse when he falls in love with his husband's escort.

Summary
Xiao has been protecting Liyue for centuries, following the contract of Rex Lapis even after he freed him from his duty. He had always only considered himself a weapon, too lethal to get close to anyone. That was until he crossed paths with the golden haired Traveler, Aether, who dared to approach him despite his warnings. Aether made him feel different, awakening new emotions within him that he had buried a long ago. Aether brought new light to his life, pulling him out of the darkness that had consumed him. But with those new feelings came also uncertainty. And as Aether leaves for his travels beyond the sea, Xiao discovers unfamiliar feelings forming in his heart. Worry, longing and the need to have someone by his side. And as he attempts to understand these feelings, it seems to only cause more challenges that threaten to bring them both apart.
