The Afton children are imprisoned in a world resembling an endless playground set, where the interior is greater than the outside. They fight to survive against the creatures who are after them with the few supplies they still have. Along their journey, they come across people and make both friends and foes, but they always have the dream of returning home.
In this tale, the Afton children discover a daycare where the night is more frightening than the day.
