Traces of time had gathered upon the rubble, and only the echo of the Unkindled’s footsteps resonated through the empty halls.There, upon the worn steps of the great cathedral, a broken god lay fallen. Gwyndolin, last ruler of the city of the gods, breathed with difficulty. His form was frail, marred by the horrors Aldrich had inflicted upon him. Yet life still lingered. A faint flame—flickering, but present.
The Unkindled knelt beside the weakened figure. His hollow eyes spoke nothing, but his gesture alone was enough for Gwyndolin to understand. There was no pity in the act—only recognition. The Moon God, enslaved for so many years to a cycle that refused to end, now saw before him not a servant, nor an enemy, but an equal. One who walked among ash and ruin, witnessing the agony of a world that refused to die.

Batman finds his wayard son, and finally has a chance to fix his mistakes from the first time.
