Summary
Dean Winchester walks out of state prison with nothing but the clothes on his back and the ghosts of every mistake he’s ever made. Summary
Dean wakes up as a demon, his head a mess and Crowley dragging him from bar to bar with no sense at all. All Dean wanted to do was get back to Castiel and Sam and tell them he was ok, but Crowley kept putting it off. Unfortunately for Crowley Dean is a stronger demon than him and forcefully goes back to the bunker. Castiel standing at the map table, big blue eyes and that dumb trench coat Dean loves. But there’s also another force in the bunker. Turns out God decided to bring back Mary and John Winchester. Now Dean has to hide his demon self and relationship with Cas. Sam finds the whole thing hilarious, he loves drawing devils traps around the bunker because he loves to see his brother suffer.

It's been a month since Dean lost Cas, and he is taking it worse that he thought, he thinks there is no more hope for him. Until he hears his voice again, and now things are just more difficult than before, having to discover feelings he didn't realised he had, so he thinks maybe a road trip is good for everyone, even though things don't go as planned.

Summary
Dean Winchester didn't ask for this. Sure, he tries to use his alpha privilege (and hefty bank account balance) to do some good in the world. He works with Bobby, Ellen, and Jody at The Roadhouse, a centre for rescued omegas, but even there, he stays behind the scenes. He pays the bills and helps maintain the property, but other than that, he tries to keep his fingers out of any pies that aren't intended for his cakehole.
That is, until one day when Charlie informs him of one of the worst abuse cases they've ever seen, and tells him that they need to act now if they want to save the guy's life.
Dean's got no problem approving the intake, but then Charlie drops the other shoe like it's hot: The Roadhouse is at capacity and there's simply nowhere for the poor omega to go, but word on the street is that Dean's got a empty guest room, and wasn't he just saying that the house was too quiet since Sam moved out, anyway?
This is a story of hurt and healing, secret identities, righting old wrongs, and finding light on even the darkest of days.

After years of training and preparation for this very moment, what will Castiel do when he realizes that the supposed vessels of Archangel Michael and the literal Devil, are just two random hunters with daddy issues, and not the cocky, world-conquering, douche-nozzles he had been led to believe them to be? Had he been lied to his whole life? Perhaps he was just early enough to not yet see what they may yet still become.
Pining, preventable stupidity and violence ensue.Or, in not so many words, answering the question: “What might happen if Castiel was in the story from season one (ish), and how might that come to pass in the first place (without just repeating the entire show with a shuffled time line)?”
