In hindsight, believing that the universe had given Eddie a once in a lifetime chance to travel millions of lightyears away from Earth to start over his life was at best just laughable, the universe had never been so kind before. He thinks maybe he should've tried therapy or something before running away first but that's not what happened. Instead, the universe actually just thought it'd be funny for him to wake up from hypersleep ninety years before he's supposed to reach the planet Tovag with no way to go back into hypersleep while the rest of the 5000 passengers sleep away, leaving him utterly alone and waiting to die. If only he knew how to close his pod back up, instead all he knows how to do is fucking open one. Go figure.

Summary
After thirty years of being separated, of Edward holding a grudge, his resolve has begun to crack. Receiving a beautiful gift for his birthday from Steve, soft encouragement from Robin, and having an eye-opening conversation with Dustin, Eddie decides to give things with vampire lord, Stephen, of the Harrington Manor another go. He hates how quickly he can feel Steve making his way through the chinks of Eddie’s weak armor.
They both have hope of healing together and building something better than before but hope only lasts so long before something comes to snuff it out. Figures that Eddie has to learn the hard way. Again.

Summary
His first sleepover with them is one that he's not ever going to forget.
When Robin and Eddie cook and Steve just watches. Loves how they just know where everything is after months of spending time in his house and how they move around each other expertly. How the early and warm sunlight shows the bright blonde highlights in Robin's hair. And when the light catches Eddie's eyes just right there's hints of light browns and greens.
They're all in pajamas, both sets from Steve's own wardrobe, and his heart clenches fiercly at the sight.
They make chocalate chip pancakes and hashbrowns and bacon. The smell hits his nose and triggers something nostalgic in Steve's brain.
While they can work in tandem, though, that's not without the mess, no sir. Pancake batter splatters across tabletops and faces. Eddie licks the spatula and Robin yells at him to 'stop it!' In retaliation he licks her face and she shouts a loud, 'EDWARD MUNSON! If you like being part of the land of the living, you better fucking stop.' And she rips the spatula away from him and points it toward him like it's a sharp knife and not something made out of rubber.
