Sometimes he thinks the universe is seriously fucking with him. Like he’s some funny little experiment in a game of Sims. Like this can’t be real. Right now, there’s a weird 14 year old on their family desktop, who is discovering that this computer game does not allow you to make family members have sex with each other.
He thought maybe college would help. More girls, you know? He really thought maybe he’d meet someone and realize that what he felt for Casey wasn’t a crush at all, and he’d laugh at himself and discover what REAL infatuation was.

Summary
On Monday, Flash catches Michelle's gaze in the hall and Michelle catches his, turns it into something dark and scathing, and throws it back. The incline of his eyebrow is asking, have you sorted Peter's shit out yet? Michelle doesn't even bother schooling into her features into an expression that could read as an answer. He's not worth her time.
And, plus, the answer is no.
She's given up all her recent opportunities to question Peter. She doesn't want to interrogate him about his life. She doesn't want him to think she cares.
Because she doesn't. Not really. The thought of caring, of being actively involved in someone else's life seems messy. Complicated. Especially if that someone is Peter Parker.
This is why she sticks to observing people quietly from the sidelines.
(Peter has been acting weird and Michelle tries not to care).
(And fails).

He thinks that if he and MJ actually start dating, like in a way that’s defined and serious, where Peter is her boyfriend and he calls MJ his girlfriend, that everything will just become too intense and all consuming. Like he’s hydrogen and she’s oxygen and once there’s a spark, they’ll explode into a fire that they’ll never be able to put out.
When he texts all of this to Ned, his phone immediately lights up with a response of: DUDE. Seriously? Can u 2 just bone already?

Casey likes to divide things up into categories, into easily understandable pieces that she can analyze and study like she’s preparing for a final. It’s part of why she likes Paul so much, sitting down in his office and talking about this thing (usually Derek related although various boyfriends have made guest appearances) and breaking it down into manageable parts.
So when she and Derek have sex for the first time, Casey decides this is as good a place as any to divide into before and after (she refuses to analyze it though, Freud was always her least favourite and she doesn’t feel like going down that route).

Her gaze wandered, following the elegant fingers wrapped around the handle to the gently toned forearm. Moving up past the rolled sleeves of his light green henley, her vision finally halted in wonder at his glimmering green eyes and golden hair only partially obscured under the regulation black baseball hat.
“Don’t tell me you’re a flat earther,” Adrien, her now favorite barista, quipped as he released the cup and smirked down at her.
“If I say yes, do you think I could get out of writing this assignment on the premise that it directly contradicts my most fundamental beliefs?”
