Summary
Eragon and Murtagh have grown up together with their uncle Garrow and cousin Roran since childhood. One night, they discover two stones; one blue, one red. When out from the stones hatch a pair of dragons, the brothers are pulled into the dangerous life of rogue Dragon Riders as they are hunted by the evil King Galbatorix and his terrifying servants. Taken in by storyteller Brom, they travel for the Varden, the resistance force fighting the empire.
Eragon is barely 16, unprepared for the challenges ahead of them, and always getting into trouble. His dragon, Saphira, has her work cut out for her keeping him alive. But as their journey goes on, he finds his dreams plagued by a beautiful woman in terrible pain...a pain he must soon face himself.
Murtagh is only just a man, worried that his younger brother is not ready for a life of war, and unsuspecting of his own origins. He and his dragon Thorn have plenty of things to keep an eye out for as their situation worsens. Though Murtagh thinks he understands the world, one of Galbatorix's hunters could shake everything he thought he knew.
With the Varden just clinging on and their lives dangling by a thread, the brothers are in for the fight of their lives.

She woke up in a city that wasn’t hers.The sky was choked with smoke and towers that clawed into the clouds. Strange machinery hovered in the air, guards in metal suits prowled the streets, and no one looked twice at the newcomer dressed wrong for the times.
Audrey had nothing. No map, no clue where—or when—she was.
She learned quickly. To keep her head down. To adapt. She picked up work in the underbelly of the city. Listening for anything that might connect her to the rift gate, the artifact, or a way home.
But the city was restless. War beneath the surface, rebellion in whispers.
Two years later, she’d meet the boy with the blonde spikes and the chip on his shoulder.

Stumbling blindly through Gotham's night was not how Danny expected his evening to go -- but to be fair, Vlad injecting him with blood blossom extract was also NOT how he was expecting his evening to go. So it's a night of new surprises, and really Danny just wants to get away from his godfather as soon as possible before the man catches up to him, or before the blood blossom currently coursing through his veins and eating him raw killed him.
Vlad is a man that likes to hide in the dark, it's unfortunate for him that Danny's learned to be a thing that hides in there too. From the corner of his unfocused eye he spots a man with horns dripping in shadows, hiding in an alleyway. Danny knows a kindred spirit when he sees one.
