He pulls it out now, dusts it off, and gently lays the thought Aziraphale will never understand the real me within it. Then he bangs it shut, does up the locks, and lets it sink to the bottom. Enough.Or: Crowley makes a very different decision, and they communicate about it even less.

Summary
Softly, he smoothes the edges of the dark circles that ever linger under Kim’s eyes. The simple motion aches with a level of casual intimacy that sets Kim’s teeth on edge. A feral dog being offered a collar with a name he cannot read.
“Let me go,” Kim whispers.
This isn’t how these things are supposed to go at all. Men like Harrier Du Bois either fuck him (with a suspicious amount of interest) or they don’t (with a blatant but familiar level of distaste). They don’t mean it when they compliment him. They don’t think he’s cool for his silly smoking ritual or outdated dance moves. They don’t laugh when they kiss him just because they’re happy to be with him.
They don’t hold him like he’s something precious.

Summary
In the Year '53, partners Harry DuBois and Kim Kitsuragi are assigned to what appears to be a routine missing persons case. But when the woman mysteriously reappears in Seol, the two are volunteered by the Moralintern to make an unprecedented trip to the Isola amidst a fraught political climate.
There they must work in tandem with the Seolite police force to bring the missing woman home while the very fabric of both Elysium and their relationship shifts drastically around them.
