En une simple nuit de septembre, le monde ninja tout entier a basculé. Les Bijus sont brusquement sortis de leur sommeil. Débarrassé de leur prison humaine, et au plus haut de leur puissance, ils furent impossibles à arrêter. Ce soir-là, dit-on, la lune fut tâchée du sang des milliers de morts qu’ils ont laissé.
Notre histoire commence quelques mois après la catastrophe, au sein d’un monde lugubre où les ninjas ont été réduits à redevenir de simples hommes. Bien que les morts aient été enterrés, les villages sont encore loin d’avoir fini de panser leurs blessures. Les plaies sont bien trop profondes, les douleurs bien trop vives...
Et les Bijus, quant à eux, continuent de rôder…
Lorsque Kushina, hôte passée de Kyubi, le démon renard à neuf queues, est atteinte d’un mal étrange et insidieux, Konoha n’a d’autre choix que de faire appels aux meilleurs médecins à disposition dans l’espoir de lui sauver la vie. Dans cette même période, le jeune Shisui est pris par cible par son propre village, et se retrouve sauvé par un mystérieux jeune homme originaire de Suna. Il ne le sait alors pas encore, mais il est sur le point de faire une découverte qui changera peut-être bien la destinée du monde…

And the Bijus continue to prowl...
When Kushina, past host of Kyubi, the nine-tailed fox demon, is afflicted by a strange and insidious illness, Konoha has no choice but to call on the best doctors available in the hope of saving her life. At the same time, Shisui is targeted by his own village, and finds himself saved by a mysterious young man from Suna. He doesn't know it yet, but he's about to make a discovery that may well change the world's destiny...
