“Enlighten me, Odysseus. What do you value most?” Patience was a waning thing in Zeus’ tone, the god leaning in close and as smothering as the humid front of a storm. A strong hand grasped Odysseus’ jaw, bringing in the king nose to nose to with a god who now stood to scale with the man atop the deck.
The unblinking eyes of his crew and the electric gaze of a king upon him, nowhere to run and none to outwit. To persuade? Odysseus raised his chin in Zeus’ grasp, shrugging off his tattered tunic from his shoulder, “There are many roads to settle a debt owed, no?”
The fingertips digging into his jaw slackened for but a moment, the gall of a mortal making Zeus briefly falter before he spoke, “Persuade me then.”

Summary
The dim warrens and tunnels surrounding the hex core made for an optimal retreat. Deep beneath the earth and as low as Zaun under the shadow of Piltover, Jayce awoke to dim blue lights and iridescent circuitry pulsing along the walls of the room akin to the cadence of a heartbeat.
He groaned, his cheek resting against something warm and dense like layered cables. Fabric brushed his skin, the deep blue satin of the cloak a familiar hue that made Jayce squint before his eyes widened. Fingertips faintly stroked unkempt locks, yellow eyes as bright as bulbs shining in the dark and locked on Jayce with singular focus.
Throat tight, Jayce reared back, straining to roll off of Viktor’s lap with a hiss. Viktor moved like a man unhindered by a ruined leg and weaker constitution he once held in a body of flesh than circuitry. Strong hands clasped his wrists, pinning Jayce to the cold floors as Viktor’s mouthless voice rasped, “Impatient and stupid, is that what fear reduces you to, Jayce?”

Summary

Summary

Resigned to his grim fate, he's surprised to find himself spared once more on his arrival to the Underdark— this time by Minthara, a woman as clever as she is cruel, as she seeks a servant for her own mysterious ends in the City of Spiders and beyond.
An alternate universe where Gale is captured post-tadpoling, Minthara isn't a leader in the Absolute's army, but the plot of the game is still (mostly) in tact.

Summary
They were kind enough to show up the day after her eighteenth birthday. She'd known they were coming. Having seen the articles and posts written about the others who had been drafted and disappeared from the internet for months before showing up mid battle.
So she didn't fight it.
They wasted no time. Telling her that she had been drafted and would submit to her training squadron in three days time. They relayed the consequences for if she failed to comply. Then the consequences for if she tried to run. Then the consequences for if she attempted to publicly resist.
She didn't fight it. Half because she knew they wouldn't let her. Half because she had believed at the time that she might actually be able to do something good.

The dark reality of being a woman drafted into military service and not given an option to refuse. All for the hope of making a difference and protecting those she loved. Clinging to small sparks of herself that those who deem her worth to only be that of a tool, try to suffocate out of her.

Summary
What if there were female witchers? This collection of short stories will explore that concept as it follows Corrie throughout her adventures. The collection opens with the town drunk attempting to persuade Corrie to help him with a bloedzuiger. This particular task is not going to go the way Corrie hopes and as the stories continue we will see her journey get darker and heavier.
Essentially this work is me trying to be comfortable with sharing my writing. I have a very hard time sharing with anyone other than my very small circle of writer friends or family. I must apologize in advance for any grammatical or structural mistakes as I don't really have any beta readers though I try hard to make sure my shared work contains as few errors as possible. I essentially write, give it a read, and post it. I hope to update as often as possible but life is life. Sometimes the posts will be longer and sometimes shorter. It all depends on where Corrie goes and what Corrie does.
