“Cloud! Look! I found another one!”
Aerith's excited voice washes over him like a small tidal wave and Cloud doesn't know if he should sigh or smile about her eagerness as he watches her from where he stands in the distance. He's close enough to jump into action in case any danger appears, but far enough that Aerith can't easily drag him into her current activities. He knows she would do that if given the chance. The Chocobo lent to them will have to do because someone has to be on guard, no matter how peaceful the surroundings may seem.

Aerith pauses mid-sentence, turning to face him. The moon shines off her face, her eyes twinkling like the stars, the soft skin of her shoulders like gilded marble in the moonlight, “What do you think, Cloud?” she asks, expectantly.
What does he think?
He thinks she is beautiful.
He thinks the way her ribbon flutters in the breeze makes his stomach swoop in ways that feel both exhilarating and terrifying.
He thinks he would traverse time and space, go to the ends of the universe and back in this lifetime and the next just to sit with her quietly, like this, and listen to her talk about nothing and everything for the rest of forever.And before he can stop himself, the words spill out.
“You know I love you, right?”

Summary
Luffy wanted Zoro. It was a statement that was true pretty much all the time but it was very true right now. Were Luffy to ask, the people around him would remind him that he already had Zoro, that the swordsman was his in basically every sense of the word already. And that was true. But that wasn't quite what Luffy meant by “want”. He wanted Zoro as in he wanted all of Zoro. He wanted his swordsman either on top of him or beneath him, their bodies pressed so closely together it was hard to tell where one of them began and the other ended. That was what he wanted. And that was what he was currently restraining himself from having since Zoro was hurt.
Or, it's been several days since they left Thriller Bark and Luffy really wants his swordsman but he's hurt and so he isn't sure if he can have him.
