Summary
Two years after his death, 18-year old William Wisp starts to suspect that he's not ageing. He hasn't decayed either, and at this point he might never meet a natural end.
Dakota Cole's heart has been burning him up from the inside out, but his powers are speeding up with it: did he always have a regeneration factor? Could it always repair cuts faster than the doctor could remove his heart? And when his heart catches up to him and he bursts into flames, could it always repair him faster than he could burn?
Vyncent finds out last: he is struck dead in a stupid, janky battle against some monster that technically isn't even that strong, like he always feared he’d go. He's in a new body less than a moment later, and gets back in the fight.

Summary
The wisp disappeared. And another one took its place a few feet away. This one was closer but still far enough away that William couldn’t distinguish anything about it except the blue aura of light that surrounded it and the flames that flickered and rose into the air.
It disappeared quicker this time, too quick for William to study it and try and decide what it wanted. But just as soon as it was gone, another appeared in the same pattern as the last, but instead of getting closer to William, it was getting closer to the door.
They were trying to lead him somewhere.

Summary
William Wisp didn't have a brother. He had a roommate who happened to share half his genes. David was the epitome of perfection. He was successful, stable and straight. He did everything right because that was what he was supposed to do. When he graduated at the top of his class, nobody was surprised. David Bell was one of the few success stories to come out of Deadwood.
David did everything right. He was the perfect son, the perfect student, and the perfect businessman, but he'd never been much of a brother. He didn't go out of his way to hurt William. He wasn't the bullying type. William was an apparition to him, some sort of strange creature that David vaguely acknowledged and then wholeheartedly ignored.
After years of striving for his brother's attention, William couldn't help but think that this wasn't exactly what he'd had in mind.
