Summary
In an alternative reality where someone else was given Return by Death, the boy who should have been Isekai'd instead lived out a normal life. Instead of one Natsuki Subaru, it would be a still young and japanese citizen, Wilhelm Trias, who would be granted the power to return by death following his transport to a whole other world.
Things ultimately don't change even though the context behind certain actions did... until they do. First, 14 years ago, when a certain Sword Saint should have died, and then, 14 years later, when a certain grandfather ends up unknowingly taking the center stage.

On a random day, as Imu stepped down the Empty Throne, the secret ruler of the World Government fell down the stairs. Naturally, the great Imu did not perish from something so stupid.
Unfortunately, it seems like the Great Imu still suffered from a concussion, because afterwards, he made a decision that was dubbed by the Five Elders as being the most stupid and migraine-inducing decision ever.
What if the World Government was under new management for like, a century?

Summary
It was by sheer luck an Upper Moon found a way to completely break free of Muzan's control. Sheer luck he didn't notice it either. And in turn, left to fester, this newfound freedom was spread to all of them.
At which point, fearful Muzan would dispose of them because of the risk they now brought, they silently rebelled.
By the time Muzan was made aware, it was to late to do anything. His strongest opposed him, and they held all the keys to perpetuate their reign.
So, what does the now former Demon King do in his position?
Usurp the Leadership of the Demon Slayer Corp and use them for his goals.
Or: An AU where Muzan takes over the Demon Slayer Corp, and what happens when your Boss is a Demon Progenitor who now seeks to kill all of his creations. Surprisingly, it doesn't lead to immediate disaster.

Summary
In the World of Attack on Titan, Eren and Mikasa never displayed any sort of potential, or even want, to truly deal with problems outside of Paradise. Much as one dreamed of Freedom, the internal issues of Paradis Island took precedence. Another simply was far to bound to the Boy to ever desire more than that.
But, in another World, one where Adventure can be found everywhere, Eren and Mikasa are born in a world that is both far kinder, but all the more crueler to them at Birth. Mikasa Ackerman is born like a Force of Nature and Eren Yeager finds himself under a certain Pirates apprenticeship.
In this New World, there is no Eldian Discrimination.
So, the question is:
How do a boy and a girl live in the positions (and their problems) of notorious people, while living as close to themselves in a world that is both more forgiving, but just as if not more unforgiving than the world they originate from?
