Mira, however guarded and determined to present herself devoid of all emotion as she was, appeared to be equally as upset. The twitch in her jaw told Celine everything she needed to know. Rumi crawled forward shakily until she was sitting at the edge.
It was even more dizzying when she got up close. She clenched her eyes shut, refusing to look directly at the ground below. Your friends will never accept you, so what purpose do you have if you can’t fix yourself? You failed all those people. Somewhere in the back of her head, Rumi couldn’t tell if the voice was hers, or something else. It sounded like her. It didn’t matter though, because it was right. A tear finally fell down her cold cheek and landed on her hand. She whimpered softly.Or, Rumi runs from the Golden performance and the voices in her head get the better of her. Mira is just in time.

The woman’s eyes widened, and her hand reached out, not quite touching Rumi, but close. “Not that you’re not beautiful, because wow, you-” She stopped, a look of realisation crossed her face “-I mean, no, wait, no, you are beautiful, but I wasn’t hitting on you, I have a girlfriend-”
Rumi ignored her chest squeezing.
“-A stunning girlfriend, Mira. I mentioned her, right? My girlfriend Mira-” The woman stopped abruptly and lowered her head down into her arms. “Jeez, Zoey, stop rambling at the deaf woman.” It was muffled, but Rumi heard it.
Silenced by grief, Rumi’s world is transformed when she crosses paths with Mira and Zoey, who guide her toward a voice she thought was lost forever.

Rumi asks Celine if hunters kill all demons. Celine does not say, “No." She does not say that the hunters will spare the half-demon, even if she has patterns, because she is Rumi and she is a person.
Celine says, “Cover those up,” and says “You are not like them Rumi.” She tells Rumi that she only has patterns because her dad was a demon and the Gold Honmoon will erase them. Neither of them says that Rumi is not a demon.
Celine says, ‘You can be fixed’ and Rumi hears ‘You can be spared, if you are fixed.’
What Celine tells her is she is different from them, but not different enough.

“I can’t shake the feeling that you’re hiding something from me!”
Rumi flinches.
“You’re right.”
Mira freezes.
“What?”
Rumi anxiously tugs on her sleeves, tears forming in her eyes. “I am hiding something from you…and I have for a long time.” She admits. Mira’s brow furrows. This was certainly not how she was expecting this conversation to go.
She swallows her immediate anger, placing a hand on Rumi’s shoulder. The leader looks up at her, surprised. “Go get Zoey for me. Then…I’ll explain.” She requests. Mira nods. She pulls Rumi in for a quick hug, before exiting the room.
‘Cover those up.’
‘Nothing can change until your patterns are gone.’
Celine’s voice still echoes in her mind, like an itch that won’t go away.
“Screw Celine.” She mutters to herself. At that moment, the door to her bedroom swings open.or
Instead of deflecting, Rumi comes clean to Mira when she confronts Rumi in her bedroom.

Rumi’s heart stuttered in her chest. The lie crawled up her throat, that Mira was being paranoid, that there was nothing to worry about, but it felt so thick that she choked on it. She bit her lip and crossed her arms around her waist. “I am.” She admitted, barely a whisper.
Mira cocked her head. “You’re… scared.” She said hollowly. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you scared.”

"You coming too Mir?" Rumi asked, following behind Zoey, buckets and nets in hand.
"Nuh-uh, nope." Zoey tutted, shaking her head as she saw Mira settle further into the beach chair at the mention of the water. "Not this time young lady."
"I'm older than yo–"
"No excuses." Zoey cut off Mira's protest, arms folded across her body, tapping her foot against the sand in an attempt to muster up her best 'I'm not mad, just disappointed' parent stance.
Mira raised an eyebrow challengingly, rolling her eyes when Zoey persisted, latching on and tugging at her forearm.
"Come on, let's go missy–"
"No!" Mira snapped in desperation as Zoey's strength had begun to lift her body scarily easily out of the beach chair and towards danger.
"No?" Zoey and Rumi chorused, each girl equally taken aback by the simple but serious decline. No hint of the usual playfulness or faux-defiance evident in Mira's tone.
"No." Mira repeated, returning her focus to the book positioned in her lap.

Summary
Things have been tense between Rumi and Mira after the Idol Awards. Rumi’s trying to be more honest, while Mira is trying to come to terms with all of the lies. It doesn’t help that Rumi will not tell her or Zoey where she went after the Idol Awards, so Mira confronts her about it. But Rumi only says that she won't, that she can't, tell her yet.

Summary
The aftermath is quiet. When their feet touch back down to the Namsan Tower stage and the bright sunlight cast as they formed new honmoon fades away, night reclaiming Seoul, Rumi doesn't hear the thousands upon thousands of fans surrounding them. She doesn't hear much of anything. She doesn't feel much of anything. It's like her world has narrowed to her hands, and Zoey and Mira's hands clasped in them. But even that feels barely there. She's barely there.
They won. Now they have all the time in the world to pick up the pieces. And for Rumi to learn how to live a life that isn't just waiting to die.
UPDATE: it'll take a bit but we are in fact headed towards Polytrix before this fic ends cuz I NEED IT.

Bobby shifted where he stood, ran his hand through his hair took a deep breath.
Then turned to face them and asked.“Is there anything, or anyone that can harm us in the next” he glanced at his phone “two minutes before the car gets here?”
Rumi shook her head “No.”
“Okay. Next, will whatever managed to get you to turn on each other this evening be able to do it again.”
Rumi froze, but Zoey and Mira both answered loudly, almost shouting “No!”
“Perfect. Last one, is there any hurt, be it medical or emotional, that cannot with a nights sleep, basic first aid, and the frankly ungodly amount of snacks I am about to order, be healed or delayed until morning?”

The song ends, the girls embrace, the honmoon is back. But questions remain. What do they do now? Can they explain what just happened? How do they unpack all of those feelings? They just shared a lot with each other, can they learn to love the flaws together? If this is why Rumi wouldn't go to the bathhouse can we go like, now? How is Bobby so chill? In the immediate aftermath of Namsan tower, Rumi wakes up the following morning sick as a dog. Zoey and Mira help her through it, while also confronting their emotions and assumptions about the events of the last 24 hours.

Her body aches, her vision blurs, and her head throbs with the pain of a headache long ignored. The moment Mira and Zoey usher her offstage, away from the hundreds of thousands of fans, the adrenaline leaves her as fast as it came. She sags backward, stumbling over nothing but her exhaustion, and for a moment, she thinks that hitting the floor would be a welcome sensation.

The girls get Rumi home after the events of the Idol Awards, and then they have to deal with all of the shattered glass they had sung about.
