Summary
Grant dreams other times that the world still ends the same but he goes to kat. He accepts that he’s lost everything, that he will lose everyone, but at least he won’t have to live through grieving it. His legacy to his children ends in ashes, snipped by almighty scissors. He leaves them nothing to inherit, no broken world, no first breaths of stale, recycled air. With nothing left to give and no more of the good fight left to fight, Grant just goes to his wife and he holds her.
Never does he dream of the journey, of putting his pedal to the metal, eyes drawn back to the clock and begging the car to go faster and back to the clock, begging it to go slower, not unless it’s a nightmare.
They don’t cry, him and Kat. She knows they’re going to die but he never dreams of telling her why. Of how his voice cracks under the weight of horror smacking his sanity around like a piñata or how he loses his voice and makes his throat hoarse lying to her that it’ll be okay-that heaven exists, they just never believed in it. They’ll go there together, they just don’t deserve it.

3 civilians were found dead at the Itadori family home, wooden walls splintered like matchsticks. Jiin Itadori and Wasuke Itadori were found partially eaten, the only remnant of Itadori Kaori is the shadow of her form burnt into the wooden floor. Their five year old son, Itadori Yuuji, remains missing. Based off of the cursed energy residue, the Council has labeled the spirit as Special Grade and have dispatched Special Grade Sorcerer Geto Suguru to execute it.

Summary
If Alfred was trying to tempt Tim with ice cream for breakfast then something truly tragic had to have happened. When tasked with the mission of bearing the treat, Damian had frozen and run through his mental list of the bat clan. Grayson was in space on a mission with the JL. Barbara was enjoying a picnic with a friend at their favorite park and she, at least, was reasonably competent. The tracker he’d slipped into the picnic basket Alfred had packed for the two showed their current location to be near the Jason Todd Memorial Rose Garden.
Stephanie was eating a peanut butter, marshmallow sandwich on white bread with the crusts off underneath Bruce’s desk with Cassandra. The two were meticulously sorting beads with some sort of obsessive focus while they rewatched Princess diaries and talked about the potential designs for their ‘friendship bracelets.’
Bruce was on live TV again, entertaining the masses with his shameful alter ego on morning television. Jason and at least a few other of the bats were riveted by his performance, alternatively cackling so hard that they were crying, and hooting with delight. Naturally, they would delight in his Father’s suffering.
