“There.” he said, embers drifting off him. “Let that settle the matter, for anyone still tempted to test me.” Almost as an afterthought, his attention slid towards the four small figures still held fast by the Dokaebbi, still trembling and staring at the empty spot where their parents had knelt moments ago. “Now. After Gwi-ma discovers four children born to demon parents, he makes an example of their families. Jinu takes responsibility for them, only to soon learn that protecting four traumatized children may require him to become something other than the obedient Saja he had always been.

The sky began to weep a strange, silent snowfall, though the flakes weren’t white or pure, but made of ash. They drifted down endlessly over the Underworld, bringing home the remains of every demon trapped in the mortal world when the Honmoon slammed shut, sealing their fate forever.
