Summary
The reader is a remarkably talented young woman. She grew up as the daughter of a United States senator, groomed to follow in his footsteps and pursue a political career path. Embracing being the “failure” of her family and feeling liberated from the standards of perfection, the reader thrives in military life under the persona of the mute Vincent “Coyote” Williams. She constantly showed amazing skill, discipline, and potential that led to her ascension to the coveted Task Force 141. When she gets there, though, she has a hard time settling in amongst her new peers.
Will she be able to ingratiate herself to her new comrades in spite of the fact that she can’t verbally communicate? Will she be able to keep her secret from some of the brightest and most observant individuals she’s ever met?
