Summary
Uzumaki Naruto never gives up. He doesn’t know the meaning of the word, he once proudly claimed, only to have Sasuke loudly and unnecessarily yell back ‘it’s two words, dumbass’.
It had been at his inaugural speech as the new hokage, and that alone should’ve been a sign of things to come.
He has made friends with tailed beasts, slayed literal gods, converted supposed villains into allies. But like all warriors, he has at last encountered an enemy he cannot hope to defeat. Ironically, during peace he has found something completely insurmountable and entirely because of who it is.
For the very first time in his life, Naruto thinks giving up might be his only option.

Kakashi and Sasuke combined are the ultimate menace, a danger not just to society but also to Naruto’s health and wellbeing.

In his faith, in his clan, there were several important customs when it came to putting the dead to rest:
1. Their custom was to burn the body and place the decorated urns in the Naka Shrine vaults, to be kept safe from worldly harm.
2. Sasuke had to plant a seed in the earth for each fallen member of his family so that they could give back to the earth what the land granted to them when still alive.
3. Flickering flames that held their shape for weeks on end were placed on the Naka River itself. To remind the clan, they may be dragons of fire, but they still came from the sea.
