As Daniel looks over the newspaper, he realizes the options are bleak. Dishwasher, retail associate, tax preparer. Each has its perks, like free food, employee discounts at his mom’s favorite store, and– actually he’s not sure what he would gain from helping people do their taxes, he’d probably commit fraud by accident somehow. But each one sounds fucking awful and gets a big fat X drawn overtop it.
It’s not until the word ‘typist’ catches his attention that he finally circles a job before his arm can start to feel heavy and useless. If Daniel was paying attention, he would’ve seen SECRETARY plastered above it.

They haven't talked about it yet, but it's obvious to Bucky that their favorite supervillain is Iron Man. After all, the guy doesn't actually cause any damage, and spends most of their fights outrageously flirting with the both of them. Bucky's already half in love with the guy, so when Steve and him chance upon the man out of his suit when he's in the throes of his heat, no one can blame him for jumping the poor omega. Sirius Black had a habit of breaking rules. A simple hint of an attempt to control him provoked him to action. But even the most avid of troublemakers was guided by principles. Under no circumstances did Sirius allow himself to stop taking suppressants, to shag an Omega or to get close enough to one to become affected. These were the three pillars of his common sense, the only rules he could not break.
Severus Snape, on the other hand, had lots of rules. He adored them, catalogued each one in his confused mind, trying desperately to distract himself from the rest of his life, so fragile and uncontrollable. He wasn’t allowed to look back, to doubt his choices, to look for alternative solutions. And, most of all, he was to avoid remembering, digging in his past, and dreaming about the future. He knew exactly what he wasn’t supposed to do and it was all that kept his world from crumbling.
Sadly for the both of them, life rarely goes according to plan. Sometimes, a fair scent drives people to crazy deeds. Sometimes, you try to drown a man and fail miserably. Sometimes, it leads to the shared detention and reconsidering of all the bloody rules.

Aerion’s eye twitches at the mere thought of him being a stable boy. This man, honestly, what a brute to assume such a thing.
He wants nothing more than to bite the alpha’s head off, but instead, he just settles for biting his lip to keep his anger at bay. He cannot draw attention to himself.
“No,” Aerion snaps at the brute, readjusting the hood of his cloak to make sure it stays on and conceals his hair. “Leave.”
He cannot let anyone see it, lest he wants to be returned to his father.
“Nothing to be ashamed of if you are,” the alpha tries to placate him. “It’s a decent job to have.”
Then, to Aerion’s horror and annoyance, the alpha tosses him a coin, one that proceeds to land by Aerion’s feet.
aerion runs away to escape an arranged marriage and ends up meeting a brute of an alpha at a stable, out of all places.
