Summary
You look even angrier than before, but it would be impossible not to recognize that same expression of irate fear you had on when I first stumbled in. The same panic that is consuming me right now, pinning you in place as well.
The gazebo is right behind me. And with it, the tunnels.
I hurry up to the fountain and grab your wrist.
"Come with me."

Summary
“Lean down,” Merle beckons, and Lucretia stoops down to eye level with him, then thinks better of it and just kneels. He plucks a flower from the dune beneath their feet and tucks it under one of her braids.
“What are you doing?” She asks, laughing.
“Makin’ you one with nature!” He insists, adding more in a circle around her head.
“You’re getting sand in my hair, is what you’re doing,” she says.

Summary
Where Magnus is from, kissing is more common than shaking hands. You kiss to say hello and goodbye. To show that you're happy and sad and even angry sometimes. When you want to hint that someone should leave, and when you can't put into words that you want them to stay: you give them a kiss.
It's second nature for Magnus to show his affection for his friends through kissing. It is not natural for anyone else.
It *is* second nature for everyone to tease Magnus with this wonderful ammunition. A hundred years of committing to the bit can do something close to creating habits. And add up to a lot of kisses.
