Summary
When Annabel Lee moves to Maryland to attend the prestigious Nevermore University, she expects stuffy classrooms, snooty classmates, and her father pestering her in every letter to find herself a suitor. What she doesn’t expect is to run into her childhood friend, Lenore, who’s supposed to be dead.
Annabel sees this as an opportunity to save her reputation by posing Lenore as her suitor (by paying her of course). Lenore sees this as an opportunity to earn some money and to provide answers to Annabel. All they both have to do is convince everyone (including Annabel’s father) that Lenore is worthy of Annabel’s hand in marriage.
Problem is, they’re so convincing that they may have ignited the lost feelings they had for each other in childhood.

Underneath was a tray filled with wrapped joints in multiple colors and styles of paper, two full baggies of dark green buds of weed, one baggie labeled ‘sativa’ and the other ‘indica’, and a glass twelve-inch bong with pink heart gems on it.
The group was silent a moment, staring before Alastor cackled a laugh.
“Marijuana, Angel? Seriously?” Vaggie questioned, eyes rolling and arms crossing.
“What? Smokin’ weed is the perfect bonding activity. You relax, you socialize easily, open up to people, get the munchies so ya snack together. It’s a great time with friends. It ain’t even a drug, it’s more of a natural medicine.”
“Well, it’s not a drug, right? So that… means it’s okay? Right?” Charlie looked to everyone else in the room for their reactions and support.Angel gathers everyone together for a day of smoking weed, and surprisingly, it goes better than anyone would expect.

The room is enveloped in a comfortable silence despite the curiosity Vaggie feels at the other woman's obvious, not to mention out of character, hesitancy.
