Wilhelm wants to die. He needs to say words to fill up the air because, all of sudden, he is now feeling the good kind of overwhelmed and nauseous.
"Even when you're not singing or performing, you fill up the space." It doesn't even make sense when he says it but Simon smiles wide, his eyes crinkling like they do and Wilhelm feels rewarded. The night light shines perfectly on Simon's skin, his alcohol addled brain duly notes. "I think I've been in awe from the first time I saw you perform in that show you opened for. And today I had my breath taken away again, you know. Your voice dulled the irritating noise around me." God, Wilhelm needs to stop talking.

so it goes like this, simon takes a deep breath in, relaxing his body, everything from his fingertips down to his toes. he lets everything go with closed eyes and presses his forehead to the wall, cool and grounding, easy for him to think of absolutely nothing that way and when all is gone and quiet he calls out for the boy. and he only ever has to do so once, once is enough for the other to come running to him. "wille? are you alright?"
"you havent spoken to me all day."
his voice is always...calm.
"i've been out with a friend." simon says more to himself because wilhelm isnt actually there, but in his head.
"oh. im sorry. i didnt mean to bother you." wilhelm tells him, a very obvious pout in his voice.
"thats fine i couldnt focus much on him anyway...you're very persistent when you want to be."
