“Hang on in there a little longer, Charlie.” McCullum said to the air. He knew what he had to do. Knew exactly how he could help Charlie, or at least, knew someone who could. He huffed out a breath, exhaustion and frustration marred his lined brow into something that resembled anger, but it was nothing like that at all.
The scar at his throat itched, but McCullum refused to reach up and scratch it.
It was time, he knew, to visit that lingering shade of grey.

It has been almost a year, perhaps longer, since Geoffrey McCullum, commander of the Guard of Priwen had seen the leech that let him live. Almost a year since he had to face those thoughts and that reality, and the niggling sensation that he desperately wanted to leave well alone. It was wrong on so many levels. The things that he wanted. The dreams he was having. He wanted to deny it. Deny it all. Continued to deny it all.
But, with the threat to the Guard too great, he had to do something. He couldn't risk it. Couldn't risk them, even if that meant facing some difficult, impossible, truths. He was not more important than the Guard. And he needed to do something to stop his men from being turned into monsters.

Summary
Iruka's teenage years are studded with darkness and stories. Heroes and monsters, ghosts and legends, and one boy at the centre of it all: Kakashi. They will grow up to fall in love, but there will be trials to go through before they reach that point.
This is a series that looks at how terribly children and teens are treated in Konoha. It's all about expressing their trauma through superstitions, urban legends and the supernatural, all rooted in the shinobi arts and canon events. These kids are messy and lost and angry at the world, but they'll protect each other to the death because they're all each other has.

Summary
An A/B/O Kakashi/Iruka alternate universe fic taking place in the Fallout universe, particularly fallout 4. Many parts of this series will be used to fill Whumptober and Kinktober fills.
Iruka is granted safety in Vault 111 when nuclear bombs destroy the planet. Unknowingly, this vault is a part of an experiment on long term effects of cryogenics and he is frozen for 200 years. When he wakes up, he has to learn how to survive in the wasteland after the loss of everything he ever knew and loved. He is helped on his journey by experienced waste lander Kakashi, who indentures him into his service.
Knowledge of Fallout is not necessary to enjoy this series. Ratings will change based on each installment.
