Summary
There are cops in the ED when Dennis arrives for his shift.
Not necessarily unusual, sure, but he could've done without the unwelcome news that there's a knife-wielding maniac on the loose in their immediate vicinity.
Figures this would happen on a Monday.

Summary
Jules teaches Mae what sacrifice should be, and Mae teaches Jules what sacrifice is for.
OR: What if we treated the abused minor with a modicum of decency, also what if Jules’s character arc made sense, also also what if we treated LGBTQIA people like they had personalities

Summary
“Your friend out there said you’re a paramedic?” Jack asks, backing away to move towards the selection of gauze set out on the counter.
“Yeah, what can I do?” Eddie asks, already straightening up.
“Wash your hands off, sanitize them, glove up, and come help me check on her head,” Jack instructs him, and Eddie moves to do just that.
“What should I do?” Buck asks.
“Entertain her,” Robby answers, and Eddie laughs.
“You’re good at that, Buck,” Eddie tells him. “Just start talking, you’ll find something.”
or: eddie and buck help a little girl who doesn't want them to leave once she's in jack and robby's care, so they stick around to lend a couple of hands.

Summary
Ted makes it to his office in record time. He can barely stop himself before he collides with his desk, momentum carrying him forward; he whips past Trent’s desk, catches himself on his own chair, grabbing for his phone, demanding, “Hello?”
“Ted?” Lydia’s voice comes through, and she doesn’t sound angry. She sounds upset, but not angry, and Ted wants to— to collapse, to run, to do something, but he can’t. Not yet, anyway. Not until he knows. “I’m— sorry to pull you away from the match—”
“No, it’s— It’s fine, don’t worry about that,” Ted insists. “What’s going on? Everything alright?”
There’s a beat where Lydia doesn’t speak.
Then, she says, “Ted, I’m so sorry—”
Ted doesn’t hear what she says next. His ears are ringing; his stomach is twisting; his heart is pounding so hard, so fast, so roughly that he can’t focus, can’t hear, can’t even think. His mind is just replaying those four words on repeat— “Ted, I’m so sorry,” over and over and over— and he has to fight through them, past the images flooding his mind of Trent— dead, dead, dead— to choke out, “What— What happened?”

Summary
For a while now, Trent's been lying to himself about some old habits that are creeping up again.
Trent is happy. It’s good, having Ted in his home, making it their home. His daughter is over the moon. But there’s a parable somewhere about a frog and a pot of water, and just having Ted around, noticing things, makes Trent suddenly feel like he’s boiling.
