    Summary

Among the travels, home became a group, a sea of people he couldn’t see his life without. Home became something more tangible than it ever was. Home became feelings, faces, smiles, lingering touches and shared stories as if he was never an outsider in the first place, as if he was only a missing piece finally finding its place. And suddenly, in front of an horizon drenched in ruins and desolation… What once was felt like a dream and less than a reality felt tangible, concrete, tragically real.

Zanarkand is gone, entirely gone. And Nicholas keep remembering all its details. The smell, the sounds, the lights, the colors, all still so fresh in his mind. And when he looks back at the group behind him, to Euijoo meeting his gaze with that soft smile that makes his heart trembles in his chest, he wonder if it ever needs it to be more than just a memory. If he wants it to be something more than just a memory.

Memories are nice. And that's all they are.

    Summary

"Geralt?" Jaskier asks, peering around the heavy door. The other Witchers are somewhere across the keep, but Jaskier still assesses the interior of the library before stepping inside.

Geralt looks up from his book, his eyes widening minutely upon seeing Jaskier's sheepish smile, his uncertain stance with his knees pressed together, only half from the cold.

Jaskier knows he's won when Geralt slowly slides off his spectacles.

"Don't you mean ... Professor?" Geralt asks, his voice low.
