Osomatsu looked down at the counter of the oden cart where he was seated. The park was empty, devoid of any signs of life which teemed about during the day. A lamp post a good distance away from the street stand flickered. Beneath its pulsating light, at its base lay a pair of small red shoes which faced away from the cart, directed towards the line of trees behind him from which no visible light could be seen.

Centered around an exchange between an unlikely pair, Akai Kutsu or Red Shoes is a TouOso fic that is based off of a "what if" scenario and is based upon the portrayals and interpretations of both characters as it was done via headcanons as well as roleplay. -

"What?"
Karamatsu said nothing. His eyes remained fixed on the snow. Outside their frozen shelter hail battered the ground, denting the whitened earth with small craters.
Osomatsu shifted beside him and at last Karamatsu spoke again, as though with a start. "I said I keep seeing us."
"Where?"
"There, out in the snow."
Osomatsu swiveled his gaze. The white blinded him, sleet falling hard and fast along with the hail. "I don't see anything."

Another experiment with minimalism, this short story is based off a scenario request that is centered around 18!Choukei and their entrapment within the same space. Neither one is comfortable with this, until they mourn when they used to be.

Summary
Osomatsu was born an outlaw, lives as an outlaw, and would probably die as an outlaw.
He's fine with that, had never imagined any other life for himself or sought anything but what he could get. He might be forced to, however, when a false accusation sends him to prison and changes his life completely. What follows is a painful, slow recovery, burdened by tragedy after tragedy that keeps pulling Osomatsu further down into misery. Will he ever find his way back into peace and happiness? Will he ever get revenge over the man that has continuously ruined his life ever since he was a child?
Or, perhaps, was he fated to suffer up until the end, no matter how valiantly he might struggle?

Karamatsu learned how to put on a mask. A mask that was at first heavy to wear, but eventually became a part of him. And with every passing moment this mask would become more illustrious and realistic that even he himself was fooled by the act. But what no one could see was how fragile this mask was, and how behind its perfect, happy features was more pain and lacking self-confidence than anyone could imagine.

The war between the Gods and the Titans was over and most people had started to move on but I never claimed to be most people.
Now I'm stuck re-living the past and doing everything it takes to keep myself and my friends safe.
Or at least, I hope I can. We may won the war against the Titans once, but that doesn't mean that we will win it again.
