I included some songs' lyrics into their conversation so some sentences may sound strange.
This is an excuse for me to write something sweet since the other on going fanfic is too long and the slow burn is way too slow...You don’t have to read that long fic to enjoy this one though.

P.s: English is my second language and the fic is not beta-read so I've come back and edited grammar mistakes and some uncleared writing parts now and there, the storyline remains the same though..

Summary
Shinso Hitoshi is a monster. More specifically, a vampire. A creature of the night who found his way into the Hunter Guild of UA despite all that is ‘other’ about him. He falls in love, finds friendship, reflects on himself, and experiences fleeting lives far closer than he normally would. All the good, and all the bad of mortality.
“You would have left if he forbade you? Even though I told you it couldn’t happen?” Aizawa asked.
It didn’t sit right with him. He found it strange. Too much commitment, too keen, too strangling. He still saw Shinso as a cage closing in.
Perceptive, but entirely wrong.
Shinso wasn’t a cage. He was a predator. Similar in a way he supposed, but also very very different.
Cages kept their prey trapped and restrained. Locked away. Where was the fun in that?This self indulgent story is a small exercise in world-building and exploring humanity.

Bookmarker's Notes
I was skeptical with this fanfic at the first few times I clicked on it but when I eventually gave it a real try I found it extremely well written.
The skeptical part is how characters’ moralities were presented, which is quite different than what we used to see in other fanfics. However I still find the way these characters acted quite realistically in the much darker and grimmer alternative universe of the original book. Harry is empathetic but quite manipulative ( he has much more self awareness though) and actually focusing on developing his magic. Voldemort is still violent and cruel but is very smart, strategic and cunning, not the stupid child-play villain we had in the OG.
My favorite aspect is how interesting and complex the relationship were built between Harry and Voldermort. Thousands kudos to the many detailed magic theories included in the fanfic.
